From Buenos Aires:

Autovia 2 via Balcarce: 458 km / 285 miles
Autovia 2 via Mar del Plata: 454 km / 282 miles
Autovia 2 via Vivorata: 413 km / 257 miles

Door to Door:

By plane: 2 hours
By car: 4 and a half to 5 hours

The Mar del Plata Airport is only twenty minutes from the center of town and forty five minutes of driving from La Demasiada. Three airlines operate different national destinations with more than sixty weekly flights that increase during summer season.

Directions by car:

Take the highway Buenos Aires » La Plata, direction Sur.
You will pass several tollbooths on your way, have local money at hand.
After approximately 20 min. the highway splits in two, take the right towards Autovia 2 » Mar del Plata

Via Balcarce:

At km 342 / Coronel Vidal take a right turn at Ruta 55 » Balcarce.
After 66 km / 41 miles you will arrive at Balcarce.
Take a left turn at the roundabout towards Ruta 226 » Mar del Plata.
At km 35,5 / 22 miles / El Dorado take a right turn imediatelly before the gasoline station.

Vía Mar del Plata:

Arriving at km 404 / Mar del Plata, you will pass the Airport at your left hand side.
Slow down… You will pass three roundabouts and after a railroad crossing, take a right at the next roundabout! (Shell gasoline station on your right) » Ruta 226 » Balcarce
Continue straight ahead, leaving Mar del Plata behind you.
Driving for about 33 km / 21 miles you will pass a tollbooth. Shortly after, at km 35,5 / 22 miles you will arrive at El Dorado. Immediately after the gasoline station turn to your left.

Via Vivorata:

Only recommendable under dry weather conditions and / or four wheel drive!

At km 366,5 / Vivorata, take a right turn towards the end of town (next to a big sign: VIVORATA), crossing the railway.
It's a small town, so you will find the crossing eventually.
Take main direction » El Dorado, Ruta 226, Balcarce.
Look for white rusty signs, from this point on approximately 48 km / 31 miles earth road.
Go always straight for about 45 min.
Eventually you arrive at Ruta 226, El Dorado.
Cross the street, (gasoline station on the left), as if you would take the continuation of the road you came from.

El Dorado » La Demasiada:

Only recommendable under dry weather conditions and / or four wheel drive!

Go straight ahead on the earth road for about 8 km / 5 miles.
You will pass the Laguna Brava on your right hand side.
You will eventually arrive at a gate framed by two stone columns! At this point the road curves to the left, take a right turn instead!
After about 1 km / 0,6 miles take the next possible gate to your right.
You will pass a silo plant on your left hand side shortly after.
Continue for about 6 km / 3,8 miles until the very end of the road, where you have the choice of two entrances.
Take the right hand one and continue uphill, leading you straight to the house.
